Quilt Safe
Whilst living in a Retirement home in Blackpool in 2020 my Mum decided to get out of bed to use the bathroom.
Unfortunately her bed quilt had slid off the bed and her feet became entangled with the Quilt sending her crashing to the floor. As a consequence she fractured her hip, strained her shoulder & neck muscles & totally lost her confidence .
The night staff who were alerted by a hand held alarm were unfortunately attending to other clients up on the 2nd floor - by the time they attended the damage was done.
Quilt Safe Could Have Prevented this Happening.
Quilt Safe - how it Works
Determined to prevent this ever happening again I then set about trying to figure out a way to stop the Quilt ever sliding off a bed again. Over the following few years I came up with all kind of crazy ideas then one day the Quilt Safe arrived in a light bulb moment so to speak. It's so simple & it ensures that once fitted, which take just a couple of minutes to install the Bed Quilt will never ever come off the bed ever again.
In fact it never again needs to be touched - only the Quilt Cover needs unclipped when changing for laundering then reclipped when the new Quilt Cover is in position.
The way it works is that the Quilt Safe is placed on the base of the bed under the weight of the mattress & the client lying in bed & clipped to the Quilt at the opposite side ensures that the Quilt will never ever drop to the floor, & that the clients feet will never again become entangled with the Quilt.
